ALCIOM expertise is more efficient when we are involved in the early stages of the projects, as for experimental prototypes. ALCIOM can also take care of all folowing steps, up to full commercial launch of your product through industrial partners.
As a fully independant company, ALCIOM can recommand an optimal industrial organisation for your projects, based on its specific requirements and target volumes :
- Prototype detailled design can either be subcontracted or cocontracted to an industrial design company, under ALCIOM's control, or directly done by ALCIOM if the project's contraints are specific.
- The industrial partner can either be selected by our customer, by ALCIOM, or through a formal RfQ process managed with the help of ALCIOM if needed.
- ALCIOM can also provide project management and certification support through the entire project lifetime.

ThermoimagingALCIOM : R&D of an innovatile ultra-low cost thermal imager
Following a feasibility study, most of the projects can be followed by a traditional turnkey development taken in charge either by a research department together with Alciom's assistance, or directly by ALCIOM whenever it is needed.
ALCIOM works also frequently for innovative projects for which a real research approach is needed. ALCIOM makes by itself the feasibility study, the necessary bibliographical researches, the study of the possible solutions and their implementation via the development of an experimental demonstrator or a pre-industrial prototype. ALCIOM can also bring its own experience for the global project management of the project and also for the development and industrialization of the validation of the business plan.

At this stage, ALCIOM help you to define strictly the technical requirements of the product : functional specifications of course, but also performance specifications, normative constraints, and economic and industrial constraints. This action, using a checklist developed by ALCIOM, is essential to focus the following steps.

To realize a technical and cost feasibility study of the concept
|
On the basis of the technical requirements, ALCIOM gives analyse the difficulty level of the project, defines the optimal technological solutions and the technical or economic risks of its realization. The objective is to help you to validate quickly the feasibility of your project.

To develop a full electronic architecture breakdown of the product
|
At this stage, ALCIOM studies in details the features of the product and design an optimal electronic architecture. This includes a research for the most adequate technological solutions (digital/analog frontier, communication protocols, etc) as well as a detailled proposal for the main electronic components. The deliverable is a block-diagram of the future product, along with an energy and cost evaluation.
